Created ahead of the total solar eclipse visible from Spain on 12 August 2026, Todas las noches del Sol (All the Sun’s nights) explores how a timescale beyond human experience can be made tangible at an individual scale through repeated gesture, sound, and archival material. The work translates astronomical data from total solar eclipses into a multisensory experience that plays with time, sound and image.

The suspended installation transforms the 2,442 total solar eclipses documented by NASA since 2000 b.c. into a physical experience of time. Hundreds of suspended ropes embody a single gesture repeated 2,442 times: tying a knot. Thirty seconds per knot. Twenty-one hours of work over twelve days. 1,500 metres of rope. Rather than presenting a record of dates and astronomical data, the work offers another way of approaching cosmic time from the individual scale. The repetition of a single gesture transforms an almost incomprehensible duration into an experience where guests can move through.

A sound installation translates the astronomical data of the total solar eclipse visible from the Canary Islands on October 2, 1959, into a listening experience. Through a process of sonification, parameters such as the Sun's position, the eclipse's magnitude, and the width of the Moon's shadow shape the pitch, intensity, timbre, and reverberation.

Finally, a collection of found twentieth-century archival materials forms mural that plays with light and traces the memory of solar eclipses and the importance of their presence throughout our history in the evolution of scientific research.
